Counselling

My fees are £50 per session for individuals and £60 for couples.

Generally counselling works best with weekly sessions, although in some circumstances fortnightly sessions can be accommodated. We can discuss options for you at the first session.

I try to work flexibly to suit both your needs and your commitments.

Our first session helps to outline what sort of work we can do together and whether this would be right for you. The number of sessions we have together is also up to you, although we will discuss what may be possible with the time available. Generally counselling works best with weekly sessions, although in some circumstances fortnightly sessions can be an option. Both short-term and long-term counselling is available.

I work within the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP) ethical framework. I take an integrative approach to counselling, which allows me to use a range of therapeutic models that can be tailored to suit your needs.

It is important that you work with a counsellor with whom you feel comfortable and who you feel understands you. You may wish to talk to a few counsellors before deciding which one would be best for you.

Training and qualifications

I hold a Higher National Diploma in Counselling and Psychotherapy, and can draw from a range of approaches and techniques including Humanistic, Person-Centred, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Solution – Focused Therapy.
